Walk Me - Count your footsteps with Android Smartphone

According to latest study a person should walk around 10000 steps a day to be healthy and fit. 10000 steps might sound impossible but it is not when someone is there who is counting your footsteps. Walk Me is a free pedometer available for Android smartphone that keep track of  your footsteps

Walk Me doesn't need GPS to count your steps it works on Sensor. On launching the app you will be shown a quick guide how to configure the app for best result. just click on start meter for app to count your footsteps. No need to hold your phone in hand just put it where you normally do but make sure you don't lock the phone otherwise it won't work.

The Creature on the GUI remains crying until you finish your daily quota of steps. you can change the creature in settings with three different ones. you can further configure the appearance of the app in settings. The app also shows how much calories you have burnt and distance you completed.

for correct footstep counts start the meter and walk 50 steps and then check the count if the result is around 90%-95% then its good if its less than 90% then you can increase the sensitivity and try again and if the problem still persists then try to configure the length of the steps in settings. Also try changing step detection mode in settings. keep tweaking the settings unless you get best approx counts.

Walk statics shows total number of step counts of every day in a list format.

Walk me is available free on Android Market but has ads in it you can purchase the premium version which is without ads and with few extra features.
